The Kingdom
Most of this series centres around adventures. The Kingdom is a story of exploration set in an imaginary rainforest; The Nocturnal Opera follows encounters through one night in a house of ghosts. All the paintings involve interaction with writing through changing layers and glazes, and were made by manipulating unstretched canvas into 3D 'maps' of mountains and valleys, where paint was poured and then evaporated before subsequent intervention. All the works, including the urban Graffiti paintings, involve an interaction in defining forms between chance and intent, between willed and unwilled areas of paint.
